Islamic conquest of Srihatta (present-day Sylhet, Bangladesh) led by Sikandar Khan Ghazi, the military general of Sultan Shamsuddin Firoz Shah of the Lakhnauti Sultanate, against the Hindu king Gour Govinda.

  • January 1304: Shamsuddin Firoz Shah was the ruler of the Lakhnauti Sultanate, while Gour and Taraf were important territories in the Gour Kingdom. In 1303, Shamsuddin Firoz Shah successfully incorporated Gour and Taraf into his expanding kingdom.
  • January 1304: In 1303, the Kingdom of Taraf was incorporated into the Lakhnauti Sultanate under the rule of Shamsuddin Firoz Shah. Gour, another territory, also became part of his expanding kingdom during this time.
