  • March 1921: Panama was forced by the United States to accept the White ruling and to cede the Coto region to Costa Rica.
  • January 1922: An expeditionary force led by Colonel Héctor Zúñiga Mora occupying on behalf of Costa Rica the town of Pueblo Nuevo de Coto.
