May 2018: Pro-government troops fully recaptured the Yarmouk Camp, as ISIL fighters pulled out to deserts east of the city.
December 2012: Barzeh, a suburb of Damascus, was reported to be contested.
January 2013: During the Syrian Civil War, Yarmouk camp became the scene of intense fighting in 2012 between the Free Syrian Army and the PFLP-GC supported by Syrian Army government forces.
April 2015: Yarmouk Camp, located in Damascus, Syria, was a Palestinian refugee camp. In 2015, it was reported that the camp was completely taken over by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
May 2017: The Syrian government regained control of the entire district of Barzeh.
March 2018: Prolonged battle fought between the Syrian Army and various rebel groups from February 2013 to March 23 2018 in Jobar.
June 2017: In May 2017, rebels were evacuated from Qaboun as the army regained control.
January 2013: Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, Qaboun was primarily controlled by the rebels.
