  • January 1751: It was during the reign of Opokou Ware I (1718-1750) that the Ashanti Empire reached its maximum expansion controlling most of the territory of present-day Ghana, but also spilling over into parts of present-day Togo and Ivory Coast.
  • January 1724: Bono Manso annexed by Asanteman.
  • January 1724: The Akwamu Kingdom was crushed about 1731 and annexed to the Ashanti Empire.
  • January 1751: Banda became part of the Ashanti Empire.
  • January 1724: In 1723 Bono-Manso was conquered by the Asantehene (Ashanti king) Opoku Ware I and incorporated into the Ashanti kingdom.
  • January 1741: In 1740, the Tekyiman Bono Empire was also incorporated into the Ashanti Empire.
