  • January 1708: Bhopal State was founded in 1707 CE by Dost Mohammad Khan, a Pashtun soldier in the Mughal army, who became a mercenary after the Moghul Emperor Aurangzeb's death and annexed several territories to his fiefdom.

    1. Partition of India


    Was the partition of British India in two independent entities: India (with a Hindu majority) and Pakistan (with a Muslim majority). This included the several princely states that were dependent on the British Colony.
