  • January 926: The Chandelas initially ruled as feudatories of the Gurjara-Pratiharas of Kanyakubja. Harsha's son Yashovarman (r. c. 925-950 CE) continued to acknowledge the Pratihara suzerainty, but became practically independent.

  • January 965: In 964, the Chandelas of Jejakabhukti, led by their ruler Krishna III, captured the territories of Chitrakuta and Kalinjar. Krishna III was a prominent ruler of the Chandela dynasty known for his military conquests in central India.

  • January 991: Kokalla I appears to have been the first powerful ruler of the Kalachuris of Tripuri dynasty, as he finds regular mentions in the genealogies of the later Kalachuri rulers.

  • January 1001: The Kalachuris of Ratnapura were a central Indian dynasty during 11th and 12th centuries. They ruled parts of present-day Chhattisgarh from their capital at Ratnapura (modern Ratanpur in Bilaspur district). They were an offshoot of the Kalachuris of Tripuri, and ruled as vassals of the parent dynasty for many years. The new branch was established by Kalingaraja around 1000 CE.

  • January 1039: By 1038 AD the Ganga Dynasty reigned over the entire region of Kalinga.

  • January 1061: Lakshmikarna of Tripuri subjugated the Chandela king Devavarman (r. c. 1050-1060 CE), who seems to have died in a battle against him.

  • January 1071: Kirttivarman ousted the Kalavhuris from Jejakabhukti.

  • January 1098: The Simroun, Karnat or Dev dynasty originated with an establishment of a kingdom in 1097 CE headquartered at present day Simroungarh in Bara district. The kingdom controlled the areas today known as Tirhoot or Mithila in Nepal and Bihar of India.

  • January 1125: Pala Emperor Kumarapala expanded his empire by conquering Kamarupa and Rar, and asserting his dominance over the Varman king of east Bengal in 1124.

  • January 1204: Around 1202-1203 CE the Ghurid governor of Delhi invaded the Chandela kingdom.

  • January 1251: The last known ruler of the Kalachuris of Tripuri, ruled at least until 1212 CE, but it is not certain how and when his reign ended. In the later half of the 13th century, the former Kalachuri territories came under the control of the Paramaras and the Chandelas.

  • January 1281: Seuna ruler Ramachandra subjugated the rulers of Vajrakara (probably modern Vairagarh) and Bhandagara.
