January 1258: Idar State was a princely state that was founded in 1257. Its rulers were Rathore Rajputs. The original rulers of Idar were Kolis of the Bhalsur tribe.

Was the partition of British India in two independent entities: India (with a Hindu majority) and Pakistan (with a Muslim majority). This included the several princely states that were dependent on the British Colony.
October 1948: On 10 June 1948 Idar became part of the Indian Union.
January 1443: Muhammad Shah II (r. 1442 - 1451) first led a campaign against Idar and forced its ruler, Raja Hari Rai or Bir Rai to submit to his authority.
January 1578: Vijaynagar was ruled by bhil chiefs Pol state was founded in 1577. Between 1864 and 1877 it was renamed Vijayanagar after its new capital. The rulers of the state bore the title 'Rao'.
January 1657: Rathore's ruled Idar for 12 generations after which they were defeated by the Mughals under Murad Baksh in 1656.
January 1761: When Rai Singh got to know about his brother's death he gathered a force and once again captured Idar; he placed Anand Singh's son on the throne and became his guardian.
January 1767: After Rai Singh's death in 1766, the Marathas once again threatened Idar.
January 1802: Idar State signs a subsidiary alliance with the British Empire.
