Was the precolumbian kingdom of the Kaqchikel people in Guatemala. It was briefly an ally of Spain during the conquest of Guatemala.

  • April 1524: IximchĂ©, the main city of the Kaqchikel Maya people, was conquered by the Spanish conquistador Pedro de Alvarado in 1524. The Kaqchikels became Spanish vassals.
