Was a Syro-Hittite state (Luwian-, Aramaic- and Phoenician-speaking political entities in northern Syria and southern Anatolia that emerged after the collapse of the Hittite Empire).
Establishment
January 1799 BC: From c. 1800 BC, Carchemish was ruled by a king named Aplahanda and was an important center of timber trade.

January 869 BC: Khazazu (modern-day Azaz) was invaded by Assyria around 870 BC.

January 848 BC: Shalmaneser took the neo Hittite state of Carchemish in 849 BC.
January 1751 BC: Territorial acquisitions of Yamhad until 1752 BC.
January 1329 BC: The kingdom of Mitanni subsisted until about 1330 BC. Around that time or shortly after it was conquered by Piyasilis I Carchemish.
January 1274 BC: Assyrian ruler Adad-nirari I continued expansion to the northwest, mainly at the expense of the Hittites and Hurrians, conquering Carchemish before the end of his reign.
January 1174 BC: While the Hittite empire fell to the Sea Peoples during the Bronze Age collapse, Carchemish survived the Sea Peoples' attacks to continue to be the capital of an important Neo-Hittite kingdom in the Iron Age, and a trading center. This powerful polity lasted from c.1175 BC.
January 999 BC: Shugab was an Aramaic state that existed in the 10th century BC that stretched across the Euphrates.
