Was one of the many precolonial polities created by the Hausa people in Niger and Nigeria.
Establishment
January 1517: However, according to the more conventional historiography, the Kingdom of Kebbi or Kebbi Emirate did not emerge until the 15th century as a province of the Songhai Empire. The founder of the Kebbi Emirate was Muhammadu Kanta, who is believed to have risen to the throne in 1516.

Was an Islamic jihad and military expedition of Usman Dan Fodiyo, ruler of the Sokoto Caliphate, against the Hausa Kingdoms of preswnt-day Nigeria and Cameroon.
April 1805: Gobir captured the village of Matankari.
January 1806: In 1805, the forces of dan Fodio, the jihadists, captured the Hausa kingdom of Kebbi.
January 1701: Around 1700, the capital of the empire was moved from Surame to Birnin Kebbi by King Tomo. At the same time, the empire experienced its greatest expansion and heyday. It stretched more than 500 km from Ader in the north to Borgu in the south.

January 1743: The Hausa kingdom of Gobir expands to include Zinder (Niger) and Sabon Birni (Nigeria).
February 1804: The Sokoto Caliphate was a sovereign Sunni Muslim caliphate in West Africa that was founded during the jihad of the Fulani War in 1804 by Usman dan Fodio.
Disestablishment
