  • January 17 BC: Baekje was founded in 18 BC by King Onjo, who led a group of people from Goguryeo south to the Han River basin.

  • January 250: In 249, according to the ancient Japanese text Nihonshoki, Baekje's expansion reached the Gaya confederacy to its east, around the Nakdong River valley.
