  • January 1814: Timbuktu is acquired by the Masina.

  • January 1815: Tuareg rule on Timbuktu.

  • January 1819: Shaykhu Ahmadu establishes the Masina state (or Sise State), in Mali.

  • January 1819: Seku Amadu's forces decisively defeated the Bambara, taking Djenné and much of the territory around Mopti and annexing them to the Massina Empire.

  • January 1825: Masina was incorporated into Dina, the Sise Jihad state.

  • May 1893: Masina state re-established.

  • December 1902: Masina state extinguished by French colonial government.
