  • January 1682: In 1681, the territory shown on the map was under the rule of the Kingdom of Khasso.

  • January 1708: SarakholĂ©s was a prominent leader from Kaarta who peacefully established the kingdom of Galam in 1707 without any military conflict. This marked the beginning of a new era in the region, with Galam becoming a significant political entity under his rule.

  • January 1726: The Imamate of Futa Jallon is founded in 1725 by a Fulani-led jihadists.
