Was one of the many small kingdoms that emerged in Bhutan between 800 AD when there was no dominant power in the region. It disappeared in the XVII century with the creation of the Kingdom of Buitan.

Establishment

  • January 801: Small independent monarchies began to develop in modern-day Bhutan by the early 9th century.

    Disestablishment

  • January 1641: The unification of Bhutan, during the reign of Ngawang Namgyal, occurred by unifying the various warring fiefdoms of the region.
