Is a country in South Asia that occupies most of the histroical region of Bengala. After the end of the British Raj, that was divided along ethnical and religious borders, Muslim-majority Bangladesh became part of Pakistan and was called "East Pakistan". The Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 led to the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan.
