July 660: In 660, the coalition troops of Silla and Tang of China attacked Baekje, which was then allied with Goguryeo. A heavily outmanned army led by General Gyebaek was defeated in the Battle of Hwangsanbeol near Nonsan. The capital Sabi fell almost immediately thereafter, resulting in the annexation of Baekje by Silla.
Was a war between the Korean kingdom of Silla and his allies against the Tang dynasty.
August 670: Silla attacked the Ungjin Commandery in July, 670.
January 675: After the fall of Goguryeo, the Tang Emperor created the office of Protectorate General to Pacify the East and attempted to place the entire Korean Peninsula, including its erstwhile independent ally Silla, under its rule. King Munmu of Silla assembled the Silla army with the armies of the defeated kingdoms Goguryeo and Baekje in a coalition against the Tang army. He had the unenviable challenge of freeing his country and hard-won conquests (particularly the entirety of what was formerly Baekje and some of the southern portions of what was formerly Goguryeo) from Tang domination. To achieve this, Munmu forged alliances with Goguryeo resistance leaders such as Geom Mojam and Anseung, and launched attacks on the Tang forces occupying territories formerly belonging to the conquered kingdoms of Baekje and Goguryeo.
January 351: Jinhan was absorbed by the later Silla.
January 490: In 489, King Jangsu of Goguryeo captured 7 walled cities and expanded his kingdom into parts of North Gyeongsang Province. This marked a significant territorial expansion for Goguryeo during his reign.
January 513: According to the Samguk Sagi, it was conquered by the Silla general Kim Isabu in 512.
January 554: In 551 AD, Baekje and Silla entered into an alliance to attack Goguryeo and conquer the Han River valley, an important strategic area close to the center of the peninsula and a very rich agricultural region. After Baekje exhausted themselves with a series of costly assaults on Goguryeo fortifications, Silla troops, arriving on the pretense of offering assistance, attacked and took possession of the entire Han River valley in 553.
January 563: The Gaya Confederacy disintegrated under pressure from Goguryeo between 391 CE and 412, although the last Gaya polities remained independent until they were conquered by Silla in 562, as punishment for assisting Baekje in a war against Silla.
January 601: Siljik was absorbed into Silla, permanently losing its independence no later than the early 6th century.
January 762: The Protectorate General to Pacify the East, otherwise known as the Andong Protectorate, was abandoned in 756 or ended in 761.
January 893: Later Baekje was officially founded by the disaffected Silla general Gyeon Hwon.
January 902: Silla, after nearly a millennium as a centralized kingdom, was quickly declining, and Gung Ye instigated his own rebellion and absorbed Wang Geon's forces at Songak. In 898, He set up the capital in Songak and eventually defeated Yang Gil and other local lords in central Korea to proclaim himself king in 901. The state's initial name was Goryeo.
Disestablishment
January 936: Its last king, Gyeongsun, ruled over the state in name only and submitted to Wang Geon of the emerging Goryeo in 935, bringing the Silla dynasty to an end.
