Was a kingdom that existed in the Afar Region in eastern Ethiopia in the 18th and 20th centuries.

Establishment

  • January 1735: In 1734, the Afar leader Data Kadafo, head of the Mudayto clan, seized power and established the Mudayto Dynasty. This marked the start of a new and more sophisticated polity.
