  • January 1501: The Tunjur Kingdom conquered the Daju Kingdom under unclear circumstances.

  • January 1615: Independence of the Sultanate of Dar Sila.

  • January 1636: Abd Al Karim takes power against the Tunjours.

  • January 1651: The Tunjur kingdom was succeeded by the Sultanate of Darfur. The Fur people and their Keira dynasty superseded the Tunjur in about 1650s.
