Is a country in East Asia that covers mainland China, and is the last form of the Chinese State and Chinese Civilization that started with the Xia Dynasty around 2070 BC. It is the world's most populous country, with a population exceeding 1.4 billion. It is a Marxist-Leninist one-party socialist republic that emerged after the end of the long Chinese Civil War and of World War II.
