Is an island country comprising the island of Cuba, as well as Isla de la Juventud and several minor archipelagos. It is located in the Caribbean. A former Spanish Colony, it was occupied by the United States during the Spanish-American War in 1899 and became factually independent with the the Cuban-American Treaty of 1934.
