Was a Sunni Mulsim Epire in in Asia, founded and ruled by the Qïnïq branch of Oghuz Turks. At its maximal extent it spanned from central Anatolia to Pakistan. The Seljuks ruled large territories through vassals. In the second half of the XII century the empire quickly fragmented in a multitude of former vassals that gained independence and in successor states.
