1.1.Second Anglo-Dutch War
Was a conflict between England and the Dutch Republic partly for control over the seas and trade routes.
January 1667: French capture of the English island of Antigua.
June 1667: The Battle of Nevis in 1667 was a significant naval engagement between the English and French forces in the Caribbean. The English victory, led by Admiral Sir John Harman, resulted in the recapture of Antigua and Montserrat from the French, solidifying English naval control in the region.

November 1688: By November 1688 William of Orange, who was Stadtholder of the Netherlands, and his wife Mary, were in control of England and Wales. They would later become King and Queen of Great Britain.
