Was a British Colony in the northwestern part of the island of Borneo. It became independent from the United Kingdom in 1963 as the state of Sarawak in the Federation of Malaysia.

Establishment

July 1946: The Crown Colony of Sarawak was established in 1946, shortly after the dissolution of the British Military Administration in the region.
