Was the Kingdom of the Picts, a celtic population of Britain, that emerged after the Romans left Britain.

Establishment


  • January 585: After the Romans left the province of Britannia, the Picts advanced south. In 550, Bridei mac Maelcon was crowned 'King of the Picts', who is said to have played an important role in the unrecorded conversion of the Picts to Christianity during the 6th century. Bridei was a dynamic leader. He united northern and southern Picts and managed to defeat the Scots.
