Is a country in Europe, located in the Carpathian basin. A republic founded 1989 after 50 years of communist regime, it assumed the official denomination of "Hungary" in 2012. The Hungarian state emerged around 895 AD when the Hungarians, a semi-nomadic population, moved to this region. It became a kingdom in the year 1000, that lasted until the end of World War II. The kingdom was part of the Habsburg domains from 1526 until it resurfaced as a separate country after World War I.
