Was a French protectorate. Formerly a Russian-Ottoman protectorate comprising the seven Ionian Islands, it was occupied by the First French Empire in accordance with the Treaty of Tilsit. After the defeat of Napoleon, the islands became a British protectorate.

1. French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars
