Was a monarchy consisting of three kingdoms (Portugal, Brazile and the Algarves) that was formed in 1815 after Brazil was elevated from colony to kingdom. The Portuguese court had transferred to Brazil during the Napoleonic Wars. It ended factually when Brazil declared independence in 1822 and formally in 1825.
