The Dutch started the colonization of the Caribbean island of Saba in 1640. In 1954 Saba was merged with the other Dutch possessions in the Caribbean to form the Netherlands Antilles.

    1. French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars


    Were a series of conflicts between France and several European monarchies between 1792 and 1815.
