January 955: In 955, Landulf resumed his anti-Byzantine policy, supporting an Apulian revolt against Greek authority. But the Byzantines brought order back to their Italian domains, then also attacking the lands of Landolfo, who was forced to recognize Byzantine supremacy: in fact, from that year on, the name of the basileus regularly reappeared in the diplomas of Capua and Benevento.
