January 1667: Are the peasants raised from 1667 to 1675 against the French authorities of the province of Roussillon. All the unrest of the period is encompassed under the name of the Angelets revolt. The cause is the introduction in 1661 of the gabelle - a measure contrary to the traditional constitutions of the Counties.
