January 431 BC: The Athenians, considering the conquest of Argos by the Ambraciots dangerous, sent an expedition under the command of Formio, who destroyed the city and enslaved the inhabitants (432 BC).
January 432 BC: The Athenian Empire captured the Macedonian cities Therma and Beroea.
