  • January 1214: The County of Urbino was a territorial entity present in the current Marche region founded in 1213.

  • January 1377: Cagli becomes part of the Duchy of Urbino.

  • January 1385: Urbino conquers Gubbio.

  • January 1444: The birth of the dukedom dates back to 1443, by virtue of the appointment of Oddantonio II of Montefeltro as duke of Urbino.

  • January 1445: Urbino conquers Fossombrone.

  • January 1471: Civitella di Romagna is acquired by the duke of Urbino.

  • January 1509: In fact, in the meantime (1490) Francesco Maria I Della Rovere was born from the marriage of Giovanni Della Rovere and Giovanna da Montefeltro, who will be adopted by the last duke of Montefeltro, Guidobaldo, and will unite the domains of the two families becoming Duke of Urbino in 1508 and Lord of Senigallia.
