A dynasty that controlled a region centered on Tabriz in Persia and that succeeded the Ilkhanate.
Establishment
January 1225: The Chobanids acquired Kastamonu.

1. Events
January 1310: In 1309, this last Bey of Chobanids fell victim to an ambush by Yaman Candar's son Candaroğlu Süleyman Pasha and the region of Kastamonu passed to the Jandarids.
January 1336: In the 1330s, outbreaks of the Black Death ravaged the Ilkhanate and both Khan Abu-Sai'd and his sons were killed by 1335 by the plague. The Jalayirids, Chobanids, Muzaffarids, Injuids, Sarbadars, and Kartids took the Ilkhanate's place as the major powers in Iran.
Disestablishment
January 1357: Khan Jani Beg asserted Jochid dominance over the Chagatai Khanate and conquered Tabriz, ending Chobanid rule there in 1356.
