Was a Sheikdom based in Lahij in Southern Arabia.
Establishment
January 1732: In 1728 or 1731 the chief representative of Lahej declared himself an independent Sultan in defiance of the Qasimid Dynasty and conquered Aden thus establishing the Sultanate of Lahej.

January 1741: Lahej was sultanate of the 'Abdali dynasty. In 1740 the 'Abdali sultan became independent.
January 1771: The `Aqrabi sheikhs became independent from the Sultans of Lahej about the year 1770.
January 1822: Between 1821 and 1841, Muhammad Ali, Pasha of Egypt, came to control Yemen and the sahil, with Zeila included.
January 1839: In 1839, the Sultanateof Lahe became Aden Protectorate of the British Empire, though nominally the 'Abdali Sultan retained his status.
