Was a precolonial kingdom in Gambia created by the Mandinka people.

Establishment


  • January 1701: The kingdom was one of the nine kingdoms of the Mandinka on the southern bank of the Gambia River from the early 18th century to the mid-19th century. It stretched in the north-west to the kingdom of Jimara, in the south-east the kingdom of Kantora was neighboring.

  • January 1851: Fouladou was a kingdom created in Senegal, between the middle and the end of the 19th century.

  • January 1895: From 1895 the inland of Gambia was part of the British Gambia Colony and Protectorate.
