Was one of the many free medieval communes (practically city-states) of Italy. It was located in Venetia.
Establishment
January 1001: It was with the rebirth of the year 1000 that Treviso obtained municipal statutes.

1. Events
January 1151: Treviso conquers Federazione dei Sette Comuni.
January 1236: During the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, Feltre was involved in the tragic events associated with the lordship of the Da Romanos (with the well-known Ezzelino), finally ending up under the power of the Da Caminos.
January 1259: Ezzelino III managed to take possession of Brescia in 1258.
January 1260: Ezzelino III da Romano took control of Mestre.
January 1260: The Federation of the Seven Municipalities also known as the Dear Regent of the Seven Municipalities (Hòoge Vüüronge dar Siban Komàüne in Cimbro), founded in 1310, but already concretely born in 1259 (i.e. after the fall of the Ezzelini) under the name of Lega delle Sette Terre Sorelle was a small independent nation including the territory known today as the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni.
January 1260: In 1259 the domination of Ezzelino da Romano ended and Brescia became a free commune.
January 1317: Verona conquers Feltre.
December 1338: On 2 December 1338, Venice conquered Treviso.
