  • January 1176: Bassano is conquered by Vicenza.

  • January 1201: Around the thirteenth century, the Municipality of Vicenza had over 200 villae under its control, almost all of the territory that today corresponds to the Province.

  • January 1227: To counteract the return of the da Romano Dynasty, the castles of Vicenza were handed over to the Commune of Padua in 1226.
