The second of three Silesian uprisings in the aftermath of World War I. The Silesian Civil Wars were a series of three civil wars in Upper Silesia from August 1919 to July 1921 between Polish separatists and Germany loyalists, as the former sought to transfer the area from Germany to the new Polish Republic, founded after World War I. Following the conflict, the area was divided between the two countries.
