Sayf ad-Din Barsbay was the Sultan of the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt from 1422 to 1438. During his reign, he faced several significant wars and revolts. One of the most notable conflicts was the Mamluk-Ottoman War, which lasted from 1428 to 1430. This war saw the Mamluks, led by Barsbay, successfully repel the Ottoman invasion and maintain their independence. Another important event was the Mamluk-Circassian War, which occurred from 1427 to 1428. This conflict arose due to tensions between the Mamluks and the Circassian faction within the ruling elite. Barsbay managed to suppress the revolt and consolidate his power.
