Diodotus I was the king of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom from approximately 249 to 245 BC. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the ongoing conflict with the Seleucid Empire. This war saw Diodotus I leading his kingdom in a successful struggle for independence against the Seleucids. Another notable conflict was the Parthian invasion of Bactria in 245 BC, which resulted in a temporary setback for Diodotus I's rule.
