Heliocles I was a king of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom who reigned from approximately -129 to -119. During his tenure, the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom faced significant military challenges. One of the most important wars that occurred during Heliocles I's rule was the invasion by the Yuezhi, a nomadic tribe from Central Asia, in -128. This invasion led to the loss of territories in the eastern part of the kingdom. Another significant conflict was the rebellion of Eucratides I, a rival claimant to the throne, in -125. This rebellion resulted in a civil war that lasted for several years and further weakened the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom.
