Theodahad was a king who ruled over the Kingdom of the Ostrogoths from 535 to 536. During his reign, he faced significant challenges, including the Gothic War (535-554) against the Byzantine Empire. This war, which began before Theodahad's reign but continued throughout his tenure, resulted in the loss of several territories to the Byzantines. Additionally, Theodahad had to deal with internal revolts, such as the rebellion led by Witiges in 536. Despite his efforts to maintain control, Theodahad's rule was marked by military conflicts and internal unrest, ultimately leading to his overthrow in 536.
