However, the Huna threat persisted, and in 460, Skandagupta faced another invasion by the Huna king, Mihirakula. Despite the odds, Skandagupta emerged victorious once again, defeating Mihirakula and securing the Gupta Empire. His reign was marked by his military prowess and his ability to defend his kingdom against external threats, making him a notable ruler in the history of the Gupta Empire.
