Tiglath-Pileser III was a powerful king who ruled over the Assyrian Empire from 745 to 727 BC. During his reign, he led several significant military campaigns, including the conquest of the Neo-Hittite states of Carchemish and Melid in 738 BC, and the subjugation of the Kingdom of Israel in 733-732 BC. He also waged war against the Arameans, Babylonians, and Chaldeans, expanding the Assyrian Empire to its greatest extent. Tiglath-Pileser III's military prowess and administrative reforms laid the foundation for the later Assyrian Empire's dominance in the ancient Near East.
