Icon Ulrich von Jungingen, Grand Master of the Teutonic Order (prussia) : All Data

Ulrich von Jungingen was the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, ruling from 1407 to 1410. During his tenure, he faced significant challenges, including the Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic War (1409-1411) and the Great Revolt of the Prussian Confederation (1409-1411). These conflicts were a direct result of the Teutonic Order's aggressive expansion policies and their mistreatment of the local population. Despite his efforts to defend the Order's territories, von Jungingen ultimately suffered a major defeat at the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, which marked the beginning of the decline of the Teutonic Knights' power in the region.
