Vigrahapala II was a powerful king who ruled over the Pala Empire during the 10th century. His reign is believed to have lasted from 961 to 963, although specific details are scarce. During his tenure, the Pala Empire faced significant military challenges, including the invasion of the Rashtrakutas in 961. This conflict, known as the Rashtrakuta-Pala War, saw the Rashtrakutas, led by King Krishna III, attempt to expand their territory into the Pala Empire. Vigrahapala II successfully defended his kingdom, preserving the integrity of the Pala Empire.
