Rugila was a powerful king who ruled over the Hunnic Empire from 421 to 433. During his reign, he faced significant military challenges, including the Roman-Persian War (421-422) and the Hunnic invasion of Gaul (432-433). In the Roman-Persian War, Rugila's forces clashed with both the Eastern Roman Empire and the Sassanian Empire, resulting in territorial gains for the Huns. Later, in the Hunnic invasion of Gaul, Rugila's armies, led by his nephew Attila, ravaged the region, sacking cities and causing widespread destruction. Rugila's rule was marked by these military campaigns, which solidified the Hunnic Empire's power and influence in the region.
