Indravarman II was a king who ruled over the Khmer Empire from 1220 to 1243. During his reign, the Khmer Empire faced significant military challenges. One of the most important wars that occurred during his tenure was the Cham-Khmer War, which took place from 1221 to 1229. This conflict saw the Khmer Empire successfully defend its territories against the Cham Kingdom. Another notable war was the Mongol Invasions, which occurred from 1237 to 1242. The Mongols, led by Kublai Khan, launched multiple invasions into Southeast Asia, including the Khmer Empire. Indravarman II managed to resist the Mongol forces and maintain the independence of his kingdom.
