Jayavarman I was a powerful king who ruled over the Khmer Empire from 701 to 713. During his reign, he successfully defended his kingdom against several invasions and rebellions. One of the most significant wars that occurred during his tenure was the invasion by the Chenla Kingdom in 706, which Jayavarman I managed to repel and maintain his control over the Khmer Empire. Another notable conflict was the revolt led by the rebel prince Rudravarman in 711, which Jayavarman I swiftly crushed, solidifying his authority and ensuring stability within his realm.
