Peter IV, also known as Peter the Ceremonious, was the King of Aragon from 1336 to 1387. During his reign, he faced several significant conflicts. One of the most notable wars was the War of the Two Peters, which lasted from 1356 to 1375. This conflict arose due to a disputed succession to the Kingdom of Valencia and involved Peter IV of Aragon and Peter I of Castile. Another important war was the Castilian Civil War, which occurred from 1366 to 1369. This conflict saw Peter IV supporting Henry of Trastámara against his half-brother, Peter I of Castile. Despite these challenges, Peter IV successfully expanded Aragon's territories and consolidated his power during his long and eventful reign.
